There are two common types of circulation methods: external circulation and internal circulation. When the ball is sometimes disengaged from the screw during the circulation process, it is called external circulation; when it always remains in contact with the screw, it is called internal circulation. Each closed circuit of the ball in every circulation is called a row, and the number of pitches contained in each row of the ball circulation closed circuit is called the number of turns. For the internal circulation ball screw pair, each nut has 2 rows, 3 rows, 4 rows, 5 rows, etc., and each row has only one turn; for the external circulation, each row has 1.5 turns, 2.5 turns, and 3.5 turns, etc.
